Wood name plate holders

Originally all office desk name plates were a triangular block of hardwood, usually mahogany, with a heavy brass plate engraved in black in a choice of only three or four typestyles.

Many organisations still prefer their personalized desk name plates to be the traditional wood triangular shape for their name plates often with a preference for mahogany.
