We make two types of crystal paper weights, both 90mm in diameter, and both equally popular as advertising, promotional and motivational paperweights. The whole domed crystal paperweight has a wonderful prismatic effect with the dome acting as a lens and creating some intriguing and fascinating effects out of a business logo. Equally attractive is the sloping or sliced dome paperweight which allows any advertising message to be enhanced with some clarity.
Encapsulated crystal paperweights
SNA paperweights use a disc printed to your own marketing design and can incorporate most colour variations. The disk is bonded to the crystal base by a “hi-tac” suede fabric, usually blue, green, red or black, which initially adheres to the crystal quickly and becomes steadily more adhesive as time passes.
Starting life in the mid 19th century an advertising paper weight used an encapsulated coloured image or name for promotional purposes and since then it has gone through many variations with, at one time, engraving and etching being quite popular. However, the advent of digital printing directly onto a substrate has revolutionized paperweight production in the awards and recognition industry and now it is possible to produce a single four colour example within the hour. Such is progress that the colourless and lifeless engraved paper weights of yesteryear are fast losing their attraction as an advertsing giveaway.
